SUMMARY:Strategies for Engaging with Difficult Students in the Classroom
DESCRIPTION:Engaging with disruptive students can be a difficult process\, especially for new faculty members who are facing instances of poor behavior for the first time. \nIn this workshop\, we’ll be discussing the various types of misbehavior\, de-escalation methods\, and Vermont State’s tips for resolving issues with disruptive students. \nBy attending this workshop you will: \n\n*Learn about establishing and reinforcing class expectations.\n*Discuss methods for promoting student civility.\n*Consider ways to leverage workplace expectations.\n*Understand the VTSU recommended tips for dealing with student disruption.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease register for this event using the link below.
