Breaking the Curve: Equitable Assessment for All Learners

August 29 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

This one-hour workshop explores equity-minded approaches to grading and assessment in higher education. We’ll examine ways traditional grading practices may be biased, focus on strategies for creating more inclusive assessments, and develop skills to implement equitable grading methods. The session aims to help faculty foster a more inclusive learning environment that supports the success of all students.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
*Identify opportunities for decreasing bias and/or increasing equity in your current grading and assessment practices.
*Start a plan to implement at least one equity-minded assessment technique in your own courses.

Please register for this event. When you do, you will receive an automatic email from the CTLI confirming your registration. This email will include the Zoom link and the option to “add to calendar” using an embedded hyperlink – this will work for Outlook, Google Calendar, and Yahoo Calendar.

Facilitated by: Jen Garrett-Ostermiller, Director of the Center for Teaching & Learning Innovation
