Book Groups

Join us for Spring 2024:

This spring, join your colleagues for a book group on The Norton Guide to Equity-Minded Teaching.

Written by renowned teaching and learning experts – Isis Artze-Vega, Flower Darby, Bryan Dewsbury, and Mays Imad – this guide offers concrete steps to help any instructor striving to ensure that all students – and, in particular, historically underserved students – have an equal chance for success. This practical resource includes actionable tips, grounded in research, for teaching college classes online, in person, and everywhere in between. Plus, the book is relevant to teaching in any discipline!

What does it mean to join the Book Group? Due to group scheduling issues, we’ll be meeting one time to discuss the book – on Tuesday, April 23 from 3:00-4:30pm. Because you’ll be reading the entire book for the meeting, we’ll send out gentle nudges.

We still have books available. Interested educators can sign up by filling out this Book Group RSVP Form (you must login to your VSC account to complete the form).
